Near The Egress

Near the Egress from antonio martinez on Vimeo.
Antonio Martinez spent a lot of time at a traveling circus, shooting dozens of rolls of 35mm black-and-white film. Then he made over 800 modern dryplate tintypes from the negatives, and then scanned them digitally, and then sequenced them artfully to produce this experimental stop-motion video.

Lawrence Jordan- Carabosse

Made in 1980. Inspired by his years as Joseph Cornell’s assistant, Jordan uses a fluid stop-motion technique with cutouts that evoke Max Ernst and Cornell’s collage work. Filmed with 16mm camera, and optical printer.

Destino by Dali & Disney

Destino is unique in that its production originally began in 1945, 58 years before its eventual completion. The project was a collaboration between American animator Walt Disney and Spanish painter Salvador Dalí, and features music written by Mexican songwriter Armando Dominguez. {wikipedia}
